La Polinesia Francese non ha avuto casi attivi di COVID-19 dal 29 maggio.
Il 19 giugno 2020, le autorità delle Isole di Tahiti hanno annunciato i termini per l’ingresso e il soggiorno dei visitatori nel Paese applicabili a tutti i viaggiatori.
La sequenza temporale è la seguente:
• A partire dal 15 luglio 2020: le misure di quarantena saranno revocate e i confini della Polinesia Francese riapriranno al turismo internazionale da tutti i Paesi.

Visitor’s entry and stay conditions in French Polynesia
French Polynesia has had no active cases of COVID-19 since May 29th.
Today, French Polynesia’s authorities announced visitor’s entry and stay conditions to the country applicable to all travelers.
Timeline is as follows:
Starting from July 15th, 2020:
Quarantine measures will be lifted and French Polynesia’s borders will re-open to international tourism from all countries.
Here are the conditions to prepare your stay:
Prior to departure
COVID-19 Test
A SARS-CoV-2 virus genome test (the SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test) (TAMPONE) has to be carried out by all travelers in a health authority center (hospital, clinic, medical centre, Covid-19 testing Center, or medical analysis laboratory) within 72 hours before the flight to Tahiti (at the passenger’s expense).
The results of this test must be negative and will need to be presented to airline staff upon check-in prior to boarding the flight to French Polynesia.
No boarding will be allowed if the test is positive.
Sanitary entry form
After obtaining the negative test results, each adult must fill out a digital Sanitary entry form online on the dedicated platform (link coming up soon) agreeing to:
Respect the prevention measures and all health safety instructions issued by the authorities of French Polynesia for the pre-boarding phase, during the flight, disembarkation and throughout the stay;
Call the 40 455 000 in case of cough, fever or respiratory difficulty;
Accept to perform a detection test for the Covid-19 if the health authorities request it and to respond to their instructions if needs be during the stay;
Have travel insurance covering Covid-19 expenses or personally assume all expenses related to cost of care including hospitalization, confinement, or repatriation, should the visitor fall ill during their stay;
Provide information about the stay in French Polynesia (except for residents) : itinerary, inter-island transport, accommodation (e-mail contacts / telephone / dates of stay).
The Sanitary entry form is filled online on the dedicated digital platform ETIS.pf [Electronic Travel Information System] which will be available early July 2020.
Once completed a receipt will be issued in return;
A printout of this receipt, or digital file (tablet, cell phone) must be presented to airline staff upon check-in together with the test results to be able to boarding the flight to French Polynesia.
During the flight
Application of International Air Transport Association (IATA) travel health protocol will be applied (at airports and on board the plane);
Wearing the mask during the flight.
During the stay
Wearing the mask is recommended (from the age of 11 years old);
Respecting prevention measures at all times and in all places;
Self-diagnosis of visitors: report in case of fever and/or flu symptoms, COVID-19;
Testing during the stay: as part of health prevention, the Ministry of Health of French Polynesia may carry out some test to visitors, at the request of a health representative;
Accredited medical staff may carry out some inspections in hotels or other kind of accommodation.

Cruises
Cruises ship already in Tahiti are restarting their operations early July with the local market only. International cruising guidelines are to be updated soon with the reopening of our international borders, without any compulsory quarantine upon arrival, starting July 15th.
